Remnants of the old Italianate style, manorial pleasure gardens and parkland, dating from the 1820s, can be seen within the grounds of Bath American Museum. This includes period features such as the grotto. Donkeywell Forge was tasked with designing and installing handrails throughout the gardens in keeping with the original metalwork already in place. We closely worked with the Landscaper to achieve handrails that were practical and fit in with the beauty of the gardens, we used traditional techniques to forge the ornate elements, curved each of the handrails to fit the individual stair shape. Due to the gardens remaining open we also worked on site to strict H&S regulations and producing HSE documentation before commencing any works.
