Donkeywell Forge worked again with an ongoing client on their garden project to design a traditionally constructed gate leading to their pool area. The gate needed to reflect traditional elements seen in a gate we had previously made for the same project, please see more images of this here, Vegetable garden gate. The traditional elements on the gate included swellings in the horizontal bars with riveted bars, tenoned frame,  and collaring around the forged scrollwork. We provided digital renders of the proposed gate in situ for their viewing and approval, the gates also required to have a two part locking system to make the gates child proof around the pool area which we made hand forged samples for the client to review. Once installed we finished the gate in a patinated zinc coating which fit comfortably in the natural stone surrounding wall.
