For this project Donkeywell Forge was commissioned to create a variety of ironmongery for a new country estate’s reimagined Villa Ventorum.

The client provided historical images of roman ironwork to base the pieces off of. From which we produced samples of the individual pieces for the client to see and touch. Features such as rose head nails, latches, ring pulls, strap hinges and drop bolts are among many of the items that were required for the project. More elaborate items such as the door knockers and bosses which were cast in bronze in-house. A process which required the use of 3D Printing to make a pattern to cast from.
