Donkeywell Forge was commissioned by a private client to produce a set of traditional gates with side piers to replace the existing gates. The gate and pier designs were sketched out for the client and confirmed by the client. Once the design was confirmed we began the assembly of the frame and forging all the components of the traditional embellishments including the scrollwork and finials. The gates were zinc coated for protection against the elements and painted. The gates were fully automated which required us to work alongside the gate automation company during the assembly process and when we hung the gates once they were completed.
