The private client approached Donkeywell Forge needing a set of traditional grilles to contain her dogs within her property. The ironwork needed to be practical, but we also wanted to achieve beauty in the ironwork we produced. We were provided with an image of the design which we were to work from. The design incorporated many elements which we love to produce including forged scrolls, riveting and decorative collars which we produced using traditional methods. All metal work was given an aged lead finish to compliment the surrounding cotswold stone.
